Three awesome posters have been made for our gig in Volt.

They will be playing our music and interview us on Friday, May 19 between 2 and 3 pm @RoesjPop Show on our local radio station; 'Bee Os'.

The year 2023 starts well with a beautiful new rehearsal room and immediately 2 gigs are confirmed. We will once again support Theigns & Thralls and this time Rule of Six will also join us. What an honor for Helleveag again.

With tonight's performance in sight (Urpop AFTERPARTY at OJC De Kelder in Urmond), we can inform you that two new performances have just been confirmed as support act for Theigns & Thralls. These are on Friday 24 June in Ragnarok in Bree just across the border in Belgium and on Friday 30 September in Pop Podium De Meister in Geleen.

More info will follow as soon as possible.

The timetable for the Urpop AFTERPARTY in OJC De Kelder in Urmond has been announced!

On May 26th, Helleveag will play around 9 pm at the Urpop AFTERPARTY in OJC De Kelder in Urmond.

We can also confirm a gig on October 22nd in JC Crossroads in Kaatsheuvel. We will share the stage with Annrys supporting SkaldGrimm. More info will follow as soon as possible.

On Friday April 22nd, Helleveag will be the support act for Theigns & Thralls during their launch party of the new album, also called Theigns & Thralls. In addition, the hurdy-gurdy will be played @2 songs by Theigns & Thralls!

Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, our drummer Roel announced that he was going to quit the band, due to travel time and work. We regret but respect his choice and thank him for the years together.

In the meantime, we have found a worthy replacement in Patrick de Croon! With more than 10 years of band experience in his pocket, we hope to get back on stage with Patrick soon.

Our Ilona was asked to record hurdy-gurdy for 2 songs on Kevin Ridley's (Skyclad) solo project! She will also provide background vocals for one of the songs.

A total of 25 guest musicians will be featured on this album, from bands such as Korpiklaani, Ensiferum, Cruachan, Waylander, Celtibeerian, Skiltron and the Andy May Trio. We are proud to be able to add Helleveag to that list!

We regret to report that due to the lockdown, shows will not be possible in the near future. We will wait and see how long this will take, until then everything will be 'parked'.

On June 23 Helleveag will play during a sponsor run for the scouts of Stein.

It is an open event, so come along and help sponsor the scouts.

We are proud to announce our first radio appearance with interview and music @RoesjPopshow @ our local radiostation; 'Start Radio' on friday september 21st between 14 and 16 O'clock (local time)!!

We are happy to announce that, for our first gig on the 22nd of September, we are supporting the folk metal band: Ithilien!

Finally the wait is over!! We have worked hard the past few weeks to start and of course finish our little project: A live video!!
We have enjoyed working on it and we hope you like it as well!!

Biography

Helleveag combines folksounds with rock and metal, so the past and the present merge into a folky rockblend. The narrative lyrics tell about the history of the region and about lost legends, each sung in their own, appropriate language.

The members of Helleveag live in the South of the Netherlands in 'Den Limburgen'. The bandname therefore is a word inspired on the regional dialect with 3 meanings:

1 Devilish woman
2 Rascals / scoundrels
3 Hard blow / slap
